Works in the exhibition
From October 3 to 6, Birch Contemporary will be hosting an exhibit featuring unique custom and one-of-a-kind motorcycles and artwork. Caius Tenche, Director of the Toronto Motorcycle Film Festival will be curating the motorcycles while the gallery will be responsible for show casing artists who ride and use motorcycle imagery in their work to supplement the actual motorcycles. Artists include Dean Drever, Scott Everingham (General Hardware Gallery), Freddy Fabris (Chicago), Catherine Heard (Birch Contemporary), Guillaume Klootier (galerie Youn), David Kramer (NYC), James Lahey (Jennifer Kostiuk Gallery), Derek Liddington (Dan Faria Gallery), Rajni Perara (Patel Gallery), Jamesie Pitseolak (Dorset Fine Arts), Robert Mapplethorpe and Danny Lyon.
It won't look exactly like the photo above but expect BikeEXIF-type drool-worthy bikes, and works from renowned contemporary artists in gorgeous gallery setting. This will be a motorcycle exhibit like none other seen before in Toronto. We'll be holding our Festival kick-off party here along with our press junket, and filmmaker meet and greets. We are super excited about this and can't wait share it with you.
